Bushnell is enrolling new students in PreK-5th Grade for regular classes, and Kindergarten-3rd for their Dual Language program! Currently all instruction is virtual due to the pandemic, and the teachers have done an incredible job adjusting to remote-learning and the students are continuing to log on and learn! The NPGs recently awarded by the Hermon NC have gone to good use – the books were distributed to 5th graders, and the garden ranger has been able to continue providing maintenance during the closure. 

LACPA is now enrolling for the 2021-2022 school year! Hermon's local charter school has recently initiated its new law & social justice pathway as well as a carpentry pre-apprenticeship program as well that has a direct connection to union shop jobs. Their graduation rate holds steady at 95%, with 87% of students being accepted at 4-year universities, including UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Stanford! 

Art in the Park, in partnership with NELearn, is holding a series of Zoom discussions with topics, speakers and organizations identified by the community. Get more information on navigating finances, healthcare, legal services, social services, and access to community resources. This program is partially funded by a Hermon NC Neighborhood Purpose Grant.

The Hermon NC worked with the City Council Office for District 14 to overhaul Via Marisol years ahead of schedule. Construction is expected to begin in early 2021, with major work completed by the end of March 2022, and full completion by the end of August 2022.
